clean facial serums

If you follow me on Instagram, I shared a mini-video about the clean serums I’m using right now.  From keeping my hyperpigmentation in check to fighting fine lines and wrinkles, serums have been the answer to most of my skincare concerns.

I still love my lasers, but I needed something to maintain my skin on the daily and in between sessions. As you know, it’s also SUPER important that I find an effective yet CLEAN serum to use in my daily routine. Lucky for me (and you) I’ve uncovered TWO amazing clean serums full of natural antioxidant-rich vitamins, fruit acids and extracts.

If you aren’t familiar with serums or unsure of how you use them…serums are a skincare product you apply to your skin after cleansing but before moisturizing.

Why are serums all the rage? They have the ability to deliver powerful ingredients directly into the skin because they are made up of smaller molecules that can penetrate deeply into the skin and deliver a very high concentration of active ingredients.

Thanks to this skill, ladies love serums because they are an extremely effective for targeting specific skincare concerns like wrinkles and dark spots.

Here are the best clean serums I’m using right now:

  • Eminence Bright Skin Licorice Root Booster – I LOVE this serum because it’s organic and contains a NATURAL hydroquinone alternative.  It also contains a booster of antioxidants, licorice to brighten skin and lemongrass to cleanse and tone.  You can definitely apply a thin layer all over your face but I use it to spot treat sun spots and hyperpigmentation patches. (FYI: if you’re pregnant or nursing this product contains Lactic Acid which may not be pregnancy safe).
  • Beauty Counter’s Rejuvenating Radiance Serum– I use this serum both day and night all over my face, neck and even on my hands.  I’ve seen SUCH a change in my skin in just six weeks of using the Rejuvenating Radiance Serum.  My skin tone is more even and overall MUCH brighter thanks to a winning combo of vitamin C, mixed fruit acid complex, and algae and marine extract. Note: I am NOT a sales rep for Beauty Counter, this product just genuinely worked wonders for me and I wanted to share!

As I mentioned above, the Eminence Bright Skin Licorice Root Booster contains lactic acid which may not be pregnancy safe. For this reason I am using BC’s Rejuvenating Radiance Serum exclusively.  As soon as I am able, I will be adding the Eminence back into my routine for sun spots and hyperpigmentation.  I’ve found these two serums play really nice together!
