[Gold Braid Rings]
Welcome to installment three of a new series on my blog: Little Luxuries. Each month I’m sharing snaps of life lately as well as some of the *little* things that inspire me! You can find all Little Luxuries posts filed under the “Etc.” tab of the menu bar.
I tend have a constant desire to be where I am not. Hence you’ll notice this post discusses both FOMO and hibernating at home. Welcome to my life 🙈
I don’t know about you but this time of year I always experience intense Coachella FOMO. Thanks to instastories, I’ve been eyeing one specific festival trend that wouldn’t look absolutely cray in Chicago during April. I’m kind of obsessed w/ these gold braid rings. They’re so fun for summer and I even plan to wear them to a fun yoga event this weekend!
In other news, just when I thought I had escaped the winter without getting sick I got hit HARD with the flu. Like super achy, stay in bed all day and stuff a tissue up your nose sick. As a result I’ve been a complete psycho about germs and these Well-Kept wipes keep me sane! They’re great for cleaning your phone screen, computer/ipad and even sunglasses. Did you know research suggests a phone can be dirtier than a toilet handle?! #gross
Speaking of hibernation mode, I’ve been reading about this new “Hygge” trend that’s taken over the internet. Hygge is basically the Danish obsession with staying in and getting cozy, rather than going out. I 100% feel like my husband and I were on board this winter.
During my hygee phase, I finally got around to hanging some wedding photos and did a lot of online shopping. I found these laundry bags which are PERFECT for washing delicates and swimsuits at home without ruining them! Just secure your delicates inside the mesh bag and throw them into the washing machine.
I also discovered an amazing new read: You Are a Badass. It helps kick those self limiting beliefs and is a reminder that YOU are in charge of your reality. If you’re new to the spiritual/self-help realm this book would be a good start. It’s got just the right amount of the metaphysical “juju” along with some actionable to-do’s you can implement right away. As a “self-help” junkie I found this book to be a nice refresher.
